At Linden, we believe that the true measure of apprenticeship success is the impact it has in the workplace.
Twice a year, we ask our employer partners to share honest feedback about their experience of working with us, the quality of our apprenticeship programmes, and the difference apprenticeships are making within their organisations. The results from our September 2026 Employer Partner Survey provide a valuable snapshot of what is working well, where we can continue to improve, and most importantly, the real impact apprenticeships are having on people and businesses.
Strong Employer Satisfaction
We were delighted to receive overwhelmingly positive feedback from employers across a wide range of sectors, including logistics, manufacturing, food production, transport, retail, healthcare and professional services.
The vast majority of respondents rated themselves as "Very Satisfied" with Linden as their apprenticeship training provider, while recommendation scores remained exceptionally high, with most employers awarding Linden a score of 9 or 10 out of 10 when asked how likely they would be to recommend us to another organisation.
Employers also reported high levels of confidence in:
The quality of apprenticeship training delivered
Communication and support from Linden staff
Progress reviews and learner monitoring
Alignment between apprenticeship programmes and business objectives
The positive impact apprenticeships have on workforce development
Confidence, Capability and Career Progression
One of the strongest themes emerging from the survey was the significant growth in learner confidence.
Employers consistently reported seeing apprentices develop new skills, take on greater responsibility and become more effective in their roles.
Several organisations highlighted examples of learners progressing into supervisory, management or more senior positions after completing their apprenticeship programmes.
One employer described how their apprenticeship programme had:
"Enabled colleagues to grow in confidence and capability."
Another reported that:
"A number of employees have progressed into new roles during or after completing their apprenticeships."
These comments reinforce something we hear regularly from learners themselves: apprenticeships help people to recognise their potential and provide them with the knowledge, skills and behaviours needed to progress their careers.
Creating Stronger Leaders
Leadership and management apprenticeships continued to receive particularly positive feedback.
Employers reported improvements in:
Leadership capability
Decision-making
Communication skills
Strategic thinking
Team performance
One employer explained that their Team Leader programme had enhanced the capability of managers across the business and contributed positively to the organisation's culture and performance.
Others highlighted how apprentices had become more confident leading teams, managing projects and implementing workplace improvements.
These outcomes demonstrate that apprenticeships are not simply training programmes; they are long-term investments in developing future leaders.
Delivering Tangible Business Benefits
While individual learner development is important, employers were also keen to share the wider organisational benefits apprenticeships have delivered.
Examples included:
Improved operational processes
Increased efficiency
Better customer experiences
Enhanced management capacity
Greater employee engagement
Stronger retention and progression opportunities
One employer reported that apprenticeship projects had delivered improvements within multiple departments, while another shared how learner-led ideas had helped improve internal processes and customer service delivery.
Employers also highlighted the role apprenticeships play in developing a culture of continuous improvement and professional development, helping organisations strengthen their talent pipelines for the future.
The Value of Partnership
When asked what aspects of Linden's service they value most, several themes emerged consistently:
✅ Quality of training
✅ Learner support
✅ Communication
✅ Progress reviews
✅ Flexibility and responsiveness
Employers frequently recognised the professionalism, expertise and support provided by Linden's delivery teams, with many commenting on the positive feedback they receive directly from learners.
These responses are particularly important to us because they reflect the strength of the partnerships we build with our employer networks. We know that successful apprenticeships are achieved through collaboration, and we are proud of the relationships we have developed with organisations across the UK.
Looking Ahead
The survey also highlighted a strong appetite for future workforce development discussions, with many employers already exploring progression opportunities and new apprenticeship programmes for their teams.
As apprenticeship funding and qualifications continue to evolve, we remain committed to helping employers navigate change and develop the skills their organisations need for the future.
Thank You
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to all employer partners who took the time to complete the survey.
Your feedback helps us celebrate success, identify opportunities for improvement and ensure that our apprenticeship programmes continue to deliver meaningful impact for learners, employers and the wider workforce.
We are proud to work alongside so many organisations that share our belief in the power of apprenticeships to transform careers, develop talent and drive business success.
Together, we are building stronger people, stronger teams and stronger organisations.
