Our Leadership and Management apprenticeships are suitable for learners working in management roles within any sector and focus on the fundamental understanding of business and a variety of key management topics.

Management skills have a major impact on the development, productivity and performance of all size organisations across all sectors of the economy.

Our apprenticeships in Operations / Departmental Management and Team Leader Supervisor are designed to equip employees with the skills, knowledge and behaviours for managing teams and projects in line with a private, public or voluntary organisation’s operational or departmental strategy.

The programme is designed to inspire creative strategies and visions for a business to survive in today’s fast-moving competitive environment.

This is a thorough and detailed qualification, and a unique insight into the most important aspects of leadership and management that will be incorporated into your day to day responsibilities.

Up-skilling your existing managers with leadership skills will ensure your business is in the best possible position to react to change, remain competitive and manage growth.

Throughout the apprenticeship, the learners will be taught operational management approaches and models, including creating plans to deliver objectives and setting key performance indicators (KPI’s) as well as learn the importance of business development tools such as SWOT analysis, and approaches to continuous improvement.

Learners will then move on to understand different leadership styles, how to lead multiple and remote teams and manage team leaders, before learning how to motivate and improve performance, supporting people using coaching and mentoring approaches, and understanding organisational cultures and diversity and their impact on leading and managing change. At the end of which, they will know how to delegate effectively.

On completion, apprentices can register as full members with the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) and/or the Institute of Leadership and Management, and those with 3 years’ of management experience can apply for Chartered Manager status through the CMI.
